"A brief explanation of Executive Functioning in Children who are traumatized, hyper arousal and how it works in the pediatric brain" (1.5 hours).
We are free the rest of the day to attend any other presentation we wish.
Friday June 29:
Morning:
Dr. Athena Drewes: School Based PT Using PT in the school (1.5 hours) 8-9:30 AM
Dr. Jennifer Baggerly : Effects of PT on Development and Mental Health of Homeless Children (1.5 hours) 9:45- 11:15.
Dr. Karen Stagnitti: Measuring Play Ability in children and its implications on traumatized children (1.5 hours) 11:30 to 1:00 PM.
Afternoon:
Ana Sutton, MA: Homeless Children trauma and the impact in their education. (1.5 hours) 3 PM to 4:30 PM
Dr. Paul Beljan: Expansion of Key Note (2 hours) 4:45 to 7 PM (they will have a 15 minute break in between)
Saturday: June 30
Morning:
Dr.Marta Tessari - Ana Sutton, MA Nana's Model Application and Training (3 hours) 8- 11:15 AM (15 minute break) during presentation
Dr. Akiko Ohnogi Using PT in supporting children traumatized by natural disasters (1.5 hours) 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM
Afternoon:
Pam Church: A model of an in school effective child sexual abuse prevention curriculum GT/BT (1.5 hours) 3:00 to 4:30
Dr. Janine Shelby: Post traumatic interventions strategies for Children in real world settings. (1.5) 4:45 -6:15
6:15 to 7 PM : Entire group available to answer questions - cards will be provided throughout presentations, we will select the ones to answer BUT ALL QUESTIONS WILL BE ANSWERED VIA E-MAIL. We will also have participants fill out "evaluations" after each presentation.
